Through expert presentations, incorporating key insights from the EU-funded FLIARA Project and interactive discussions, this event will highlight practical solutions, showcase successful innovations, and provide policy recommendations to foster inclusive rural entrepreneurship. \nWhat to Expect \nInsights from Key Institutions: \n\nElena Schubert (DG AGRI) will discuss CAP’s Contribution to Gender Equality in Farming and Rural Areas, outlining how EU policies are addressing gender disparities. \nIlaria Sisto (FAO) will provide a gender perspective on agriculture and rural areas, focusing on strategies to support women-led rural innovation. \n\nFindings from the FLIARA Project:\nThe event will feature key results from the FLIARA project, offering a deep dive into: \n\nNew policy approaches that support gender-inclusive rural innovation. \nLessons from case studies of women-led agricultural and rural initiatives across Europe. \nTrends shaping the future of rural sustainability and how women are leading the transition. \nPolicy benchmarking to identify best practices for scaling impact. \n\nPanel Discussions on Women-Led Innovation:\nThe event will feature two interactive panel discussions, bringing together experts, sister projects, and FLIARA Innovation Ambassadors: \n\nBreaking Barriers to Women-Led Innovation will examine the role of communities, training programs, and policy frameworks in advancing gender equality in rural entrepreneurship. \nUnlocking Opportunities for Women in Rural Innovation will focus on access to land, financial resources, and strategies to navigate bureaucratic challenges. \n\nPanellists will include representatives such as: \n\nSally Shortall (Grass Ceiling Project) \nGraeme Dean (SWIFT Project) \nBetty-Ann Bryce (OECD, Rural Policy Coordinator) \nAlicja Krakowska (EIT Food, Project Manager) \nAleksandra Niżyńska (Partner at Gender Solution) \nMarianna Bicchieri (FAO, Gender Officer for Europe and Central Asia)\nSaša Kržič (FLIARA Ambassador, Mikrozelenje Šebenik, Slovenia) \nUrsula Kelly (FLIARA Ambassador, CormacTagging, Ireland) \n\nEngagement and Networking:\nParticipants will have the opportunity to join the conversation, ask questions, and connect with experts and innovators working to create more inclusive rural economies. \nMiss the event?
