How women-led innovations contribute to EU Rural Vision 2024?

Abstract

The long-term vision for the EU’s rural areas is a European Commission initiative to develop a common European vision for 2040. However, it does not include explicit gender aspect in it. This policy brief aims to justify and provide suggestions to include gender aspects, particularly linked to women-led innovations to the EU Rural Vision 2040 and related action plan. We identify 20 proposals on how EU Rural Vision 2040 can enhance women-led innovations and gender equality in European rural areas.
