Skills training targeting women-led rural and farm innovation

Ireland

2025

Abstract

The FLIARA project looked at women-led innovation as a journey that does not occur at one point and is a process over time. Innovating and developing an enterprise can take a series of steps. The FLIARA case study evidence from Ireland tells us that different stages and steps can call for different skills and competencies. This calls for education and skills training to be designed with this core idea in mind. This can then better support women interested and already involved in rural and farm innovation and entrepreneurship to develop sustainable businesses.
