Reducing women’s inequalities in EU Agricultural Areas: the role of digitalisation
Gender imbalance in rural and agricultural areas remains a significant issue in the EU and globally, hindering the progress towards a more equitable and inclusive society.
Despite the EU’s efforts through various strategies and policies, such as the Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025, but also the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the Green Deal, rural women continue to face numerous challenges, including limited access to land, education, and leadership roles.
This webinar aims to shed light on these issues, discuss the impact of current policies, and explore innovative solutions based on digitalisation to tackle gender inequalities from local to EU and global level, thereby contributing to socio-economic development and sustainable growth in rural areas.
