As the FLIARA Project enters its final stretch, the consortium continues to demonstrate unwavering momentum through impactful activities, strategic collaboration, and meaningful outcomes across Europe. The FLIARA Link meeting celebrated on April 24, 2025 was a testament to this ongoing drive, celebrating recent achievements while laying the groundwork for key deliverables and the upcoming final conference.
A Webinar Success and Expanding Engagement
The past month was marked by a major highlight: the international webinar “Empowering Rural Communities”, which drew more than 140 live participants and over 200 registered attendees. The event garnered significant praise and extended the project’s visibility to broader stakeholder groups.
Policy Work in Full Swing
The development of national and EU-level policy briefs remains central to the project’s final objectives. With most national policy drafts already submitted, the team at TU Delft—leading Work Package 5—emphasised the collaborative nature of this task. Partners are encouraged to review and refine each other’s work, with a second round of inputs planned through May. These efforts will culminate in a cohesive policy booklet that integrates national insights with a broader European perspective.
The project is also exploring creative ways to deepen policy reflection, including cross-country learning sessions and potential podcasts or short presentations where partners can quickly share the essence of their policy contributions.
Community of Practice
The FLIARA Community of Practice (CoP) continues to grow with engaging online events and a dedicated LinkedIn group. An upcoming event on bridging private and public funding for women innovators, scheduled for April 30th, 2025, promises to build on recent successes and amplify voices across sectors. Another CoP in-person will take place in mid-May in Sweden, featuring panels, field visits, and knowledge exchange activities.
A Collective Effort Making a Real Impact
The strength of FLIARA lies in its community. The synergy among partners, the visibility of its outputs, and the alignment with real-world challenges are producing tangible impacts, including growing interest from national governments and policy stakeholders. The consortium remains committed to delivering excellence through to the project’s conclusion and beyond.
FLIARA’s journey may be nearing its official end, but its influence is just beginning to take root across Europe’s rural and agricultural landscapes.
