Building a Gender Inclusive AKIS in Ireland

Abstract

An agricultural knowledge innovation system (AKIS) is imperative in each EU Member State to enhance agricultural innovative practices. AKIS supports the cross-cutting CAP objective to modernise agriculture and rural areas by promoting knowledge, innovation and digitalisation in agriculture and rural areas. This policy brief aims to raise an awareness of the importance of including women in AKIS and provides key recommendations on how this can be realised.
