Financial gaps and opportunities for rural women-led innovation projects

Abstract

Rural women face structural and cultural barriers in accessing financial resources, despite the availability of EU funds. Complex procedures, lack of tailored instruments, and gender bias restrict their innovation potential. This brief recommends dedicated funding schemes, simplified application processes, microloans, and local advisory services to bridge the financial gap and enable women to lead sustainable rural transformations.
