TU Delft

TU Delft, established in 1842, is the Netherlands’ oldest and largest public technical university. Located in Delft, it boasts eight faculties, numerous research institutes, and over 26,000 students. With a rich history, TU Delft began as a royal academy training civil servants for the Dutch East Indies. Over time, it evolved into a polytechnic school, then a full-fledged institute of technology in 1905, and finally adopted its current name in 1986.

 

TU Delft in the FLIARA Project

 

TU Delft’s Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment is actively involved in the Horizon Europe project, FLIARA. Professor Willem Korthals Altes (MBE) and Gerdy Verschuuure-Stuip (Urbanism, Landscape Architecture) are among the university’s researchers contributing to the project.
