Include more gender education in School Curricula

Abstract

One of the main barriers to greater involvement of women in rural areas is the persistent underestimation of women and the enduring influence of paternalistic views. Addressing this issue requires a strong emphasis on educational initiatives – not only in schools but also in the media, culture, and other public spheres. One key approach is to integrate gender equality topics more deeply into the curricula of primary and secondary schools. The goal is to shape future generations’ perception of gender equality, fostering greater collaboration between men and women, particularly in the field of caregiving.
