Grass Ceiling Annual Showcase Event September 12th and 13th 2023
The GRASS CEILING Annual Showcase Event held at the COPA-COGECA Offices in Brussels on September 13, 2023, witnessed the active participation and presentation of the FLIARA project by Associate Professor Maura Farrell and FLIARA Project Manager Louise Weir, both representing the University of Galway. This event served as a platform for collaborative engagement and the exchange of ideas between various initiatives, including the Grass Ceiling and SWIFT projects.
The GRASS CEILING project, renowned for its emphasis on empowering women in rural areas, presented an exciting update at the event, enriched with impressive examples from their Living Labs. The event attracted a diverse audience interested in initiatives aimed at promoting women’s participation in farming and rural practices across the European Union.
During her presentation, Associate Professor Maura Farrell provided valuable insights into the progress achieved within the FLIARA project, emphasising significant advancements in the fields of Foresight and Trend Analysis. She also shed light on the ongoing preparations for selecting FLIARA case studies, which will focus on women involved in innovative farming and rural practices across the EU. These case studies are scheduled to be unveiled at the FLIARA Community of Practice Events, commencing in June 2024.
