At the heart of the FLIARA Community of Practice (CoP) are the inspiring FLIARA Ambassadors—trailblazing women leading innovation in rural Europe. Through a mix of online and in-person events, the CoP has become a dynamic platform where the Ambassadors connect with policymakers, stakeholders, and communities. Together, they exchange knowledge, build networks, and drive transformative policy discussions, showcasing ground breaking practices that promote sustainability and inclusion in rural areas. Here’s a look back at our journey so far in 2024:

We launched the FLIARA CoP with participants from the 10 EU countries involved in the project, introducing the 20 FLIARA Ambassadors—exceptional women driving sustainable change in rural communities and in agriculture. Selected from over 200 inspiring case studies across 10 EU countries, these women are leading the charge in rural development, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. Each ambassador brings unique expertise and success stories that highlight the transformative potential of women in agriculture and rural communities. Their work spans the four dimensions of sustainability: environmental, economic, social, and cultural. Read more about the FLIARA CoP kick off event here.
